Welcome!

Welcome to my resources for After Effects, Cinema 4D and whatever I come up with and what you think might be useful. Please note that all the stuff provided here is meant for learning and experimentation. You may use it for commercial projects as well, but if you do so, do the decent thing and donate a few bucks. You can do so by clicking on the button below to make a donation.

PayPal - The safer, easier way to pay online!

Be aware that I cannot offer any form of guaranteed support if you can’t figure out things. You can ask me questions on forums or shoot me a mail, but accept that the stuff being free, you are not entitled to demand anything. Likewise, I reserve the right to withdraw, rework and modify stuff as I see fit. As they say "Availability may be subject to change.".

Note:Though some content may be listed, you will not find it for immediate download. This is due to bandwidth and file size constraints. You will also encounter situations, where only parts of the content are provided instantly or none at all. Such content can be made available and adapted to your needs, but this will need to be on a paid basis via different methods.

Force Field

Force Field

One more setup exploring and exploiting Trapcode Form 2‘s rotation maps, this produces a bipolar force field similar to a magnetic field. By duplicating the sub-comps constituting the maps, more fields can be added.

Tentacle

Tentacle

This is a tech demo for Element 3D as shown in the corresponding video. The motion follows the pointer/ sign, so rather than just wggling around it can also be used to reach for something which may come in handy for character animation, simulating wires, robotic or organic motion.

Star Struck

Star Struck

This is a design exploration with Element 3D as shown in the corresponding video. The elements were imported separately, then colorized and arranged. The primary intent was to create some interesting DOF and use this as a background for text.

Symmetrion

Symmetrion

Symmetrion is a toolbox of projects that allows you to create mesh and grid structures easily, deal with large amounts of points easily and, most importantly, provides an easier way of creating deformations in FreeForm Pro, including symmetrical "modelling". Please refer to the PDF document in the package for more details.

DNA

DNA

Inevitably this project shows a variation on the DNA helix theme using Shapeshifter.

Lava Snake

Lava Snake

This is a simple project showing how some simple techniques can be used to produce an interesting skin reveal effect using Shapeshifter. This could come in handy for logo animations or just complementary background elements e.g. themed around the Asian dragon cult.

Stripey Crowd

Crowd

Based on a user request on a forum, this is a simple implementation that allows you to color a particle grid in Trapcode Form consistently with alternating colors as it grows. Since the layer maps are always auto-sized, this kind of workaround is needed. Change the values as needed, but make sure you use clean multiples, i.e. in the default setup 30×30=900, or else the mapping will again misalign.

Star v2

Star

Again a fully re-engineered project that already existed on my old site. Of particular note is the addition of automatic constraints that implement the most common stellation methods for n/2 and n/3.

Arrow v2

Arrow

This is a completely re-engineered version of the sharp arrow from my old pages. It does no longer use scaling, so it stays sharp at all sizes. Additionally, I have implemented handles that allow interactive adjustments similar to how this works in PowerPoint. Unfortunately, because After Effects does not allow those handles to be picked directly, you still have to select the respective effect first.

I'm a 3D animator and graphics designer with almost 16 years in the industry and an unhealthy obsession about After Effects.
