Welcome!

Welcome to my resources for After Effects, Cinema 4D and whatever I come up with and what you think might be useful. Please note that all the stuff provided here is meant for learning and experimentation. You may use it for commercial projects as well, but if you do so, do the decent thing and donate a few bucks. You can do so by clicking on the button below to make a donation.

Be aware that I cannot offer any form of guaranteed support if you can’t figure out things. You can ask me questions on forums or shoot me a mail, but accept that the stuff being free, you are not entitled to demand anything. Likewise, I reserve the right to withdraw, rework and modify stuff as I see fit. As they say "Availability may be subject to change.".

Note:Though some content may be listed, you will not find it for immediate download. This is due to bandwidth and file size constraints. You will also encounter situations, where only parts of the content are provided instantly or none at all. Such content can be made available and adapted to your needs, but this will need to be on a paid basis via different methods.

Radar – Dradis – Light Grid

Dradis

This collection of 3 separate projects allows you to create any variation you can think of when it comes to radars, sonars and other scanning device screens. Because everything is determined with expressions, you need not worry about all that blinking and labeling. You just animate your targets and adapt the design, and the code does the rest. The package contains the reference designs illustrated in the clip below. The setup with the light grid can be produced by cloning a prototype light with the expressions and then adjusting the parameters of the grid. Similarly, the other setups can be modified by replacing the layer in teh timeline or modifying the pre-comps.

Twinkle Thingy

Another variation on the space nebula theme, but again not aimed at realism but rather a generalized impression. Created with Trapcode Form.

In addition to the technique used in on of the presets that come with Trapcode Particular, this project contains two more possible variations on creating starfields.

Starburst

Starburst

With a few simple keyframes controlling the amplitude of the Fractal Field in Trapcode Form in combination with other effects the illusion of a bursting sun or supernova is created.

Space Nebula

Space Nebula

A generalized variation of a cosmic nebula created with Trapcode Form. It’s not meant to be ultra-realistic but rather evoke the feeling you get when watching Hubble photos of the gas pillars in the Eagle Nebula, surrounded by young stars.
